Now Supporting Android SmartGlasses

By Frozen Mountain Software

We’re excited to announce that IceLink and WebSync now support another exciting mobile platform - Android-powered SmartGlasses.

Currently, IceLink and WebSync support two models — the Vuzix M300s and Osterhout Design Group’s R-7s, which are currently being tested at NASA for enhanced field operational training and communication applications. We will continue supporting more SmartGlasses models in the coming months.

Stats for SmartGlasses adoption are pretty shocking. Over 1.85 million units are expected to ship by the end of 2018, and the global augmented reality market is projected to hit $162 billion by 2020.

There’s no limit to the kinds of immersive and practical real-time communications applications you can create using SmartGlasses with WebSync and IceLink. From worldwide team video collaboration to property walkthroughs, SmartGlasses offer a powerful, hands-free interface to explore the next frontier of RTC application development.
